Mariela Lazo

RN Case Manager Back to Leadership

Mariela Lazo

Mariela was born and raised in Lima, Peru, where she attended Virgo Potens, a school run by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul. It was there she discovered her passion for serving the most vulnerable, inspired, as she shares, “by humility, love and compassion driven by my love for God.” Having personally experienced the impact of hospice and Alzheimer’s disease within her own family, Mariela is deeply committed to supporting, educating and guiding families through these challenging times.

Mariela takes great pride in and feels a deep connection to the kindness and compassion demonstrated by other Silverado associates. Since joining Silverado in 2013, she has held several roles, including CHHA, On-Call Nurse, Admission Nurse and now RN Case Manager.

Outside of Silverado, Mariela enjoys cooking, watching soccer (her favorite player is her son), spending time with her family, hiking and participating in Angels of Charity and Music, an organization that conducts annual medical mission trips to support those in need. She looks forward to taking part in more mission trips in the future.
