Ingrid McDonald, MSN, BSN, RN

Director of Patient Care Services Back to Leadership

Ingrid began her nursing journey after immigrating to the United States from Jamaica, embarking on a second career rooted in service and care. Originally an Executive Assistant pursuing a degree in social work, she transferred her studies to Stevenson University and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014. The flexibility of nursing allowed her to raise a family while building a meaningful career, and she later completed her Master’s in Nursing Practice in 2019.

Recognized early on for her aptitude in community nursing, Ingrid began her career at the Maryland Correctional Institute for Women and later gained experience in home health and behavioral health. She entered hospice care in 2016 as a case manager and went on to serve as an admissions nurse, patient care manager, and Director of Clinical and Professional Services (DCPS). Her deep clinical knowledge, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to team-based care were central to her success in these roles.

After eight years in hospice leadership on the East Coast, Ingrid relocated west to continue her work in a setting that reflects her spirit and values. A proud island girl at heart, she finds joy in the ocean, music, dancing, gardening, and experimenting with bold, spicy recipes. She believes the strongest organizations—and the best patient care—are built by combining the unique strengths of every team member.
