Dr Pepper Fan Sees How the Popular Soda is Made with Help from Silverado

November 21, 2013

Jeffrey Yaws is one of Dr Pepper’s biggest fans. The 25-year-old fan and collector was born with Hunter syndrome and currently receives the support of Silverado Hospice in Dallas. When he shared his passion for the popular soda, the Silverado team reached out to Dr. Pepper Snapple Group. What resulted was a special tour of the company’s Plano, Texas headquarters where Jeffrey got to see first-hand how Dr Pepper is made.

The team at Dr Pepper “peppered’ the visit with personal touches — from a welcome sign that read “Welcome Jeffrey, You’re One of a Kind” to a special jacket made for him. One of the most touching moments was when more than 100 employees cheered for Jeffery, giving him a round of applause.

The Silverado team is now collecting donations so that the family can have a special Thanksgiving, and an early Christmas for Jeffrey.
