Silverado Hospice Assists Family in Need During Christmas
December 25, 2014
At Silverado, we are fully committed to providing the best care to all of those we serve, often providing assistance to people who are in need and who we can help. In December, Silverado Dallas/Fort Worth had a family who was in need of help making the holidays special for the family, especially the children.
The family was in financial need, and were unable to provide any holiday resources needed to make the season bright. When the patient receiving hospice services passed away just a few weeks before Christmas, it seemed to the family that their holiday would be bleak this year. But with the help of several volunteers, both within the hospice program and outside, the family was provided with everything they would need to help them celebrate this season including items from a Christmas tree and other decorations to presents for the children and food for a lovely Christmas dinner.
The hospice team and volunteers were able to go above and beyond for a family in need during their time of bereavement. It is because of care like this that Silverado continues to prove they are one of the most caring hospice programs in the country.
