Pet Therapy Dogs – Ash and Cinder

Our pet therapy dogs, Ash & Cinder, bring their special gifts of comfort and love to all the patients they visit. One day while visiting a patient, in his final days, these furry friends made all the difference. This patient was noticeably anxious when anyone entered his room, but when Ash and Cinder arrived he calmed and became very lighthearted. At the visit we took his hand and placed it on Ash’s head, and he smiled – almost to laughter – and said, “my friend, my friend!”
