Volunteers adapt to care during the pandemic
With the added restrictions in place to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, many of the traditional ways our clinical teams, social workers, spiritual counselors and volunteers have provided care to patients and families have changed. Because care and personal interaction are more important than ever in times like these, our volunteers have stepped up to share the love and let patients know we are thinking about them with heartfelt letters and messages! Knowing that they are being thought of is so very important to patients and their families. Even though the message comes from afar, the joy felt by patients and the volunteers sharing their love is a connection felt at a distance.
