Veterans Helping Veterans at the end of their Life’s Journey
November 11, 2019
help make a difference to those who have served
When a veteran is approaching the end of their life, the companionship of another veteran or an active duty service member can be a meaningful presence. Volunteering for hospice is a wonderful way to give your time and show respect and admiration to help a fellow veteran find comfort and dignity.
Veteran hospice volunteers are needed for:
Basic companionship
- Sharing stories about service
- Pinning ceremonies
- And more
Silverado Hospice provides special volunteer training and arrange times for you to spend with veterans with a limited time to live. Volunteers can share a few hours a week or more, depending upon how much they are willing to contribute.
