Mia Maradiaga
Social Worker and Bereavement Coordinator Back to Leadership
Mia has a Master’s Degree from the University of Utah with an emphasis in Aging. As a graduate student, she received the Edward Yukio Okazaki award for promising work in gerontology. Mia’s passion for hospice comes from a negative hospice experience from childhood. As a child and throughout her life, she has witnessed the lack of Spanish speaking clinicians available to her family and others around her and vowed to grow up to become a voice and advocate for those who could not speak for themselves.
